Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadershiptothedepartment, initiate, guide and contribute to basic and applied researchprogrammes in line with education 5.0. The candidate is expected to teachanyofthe following modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level: spatial statistics, spatial analysis with GIS, geospatial health, spatial ecology andwildlifemanagement, and spatial modelling of socio-ecological systems. In addition, thecandidate will be expected to coordinate and participate in the supervisionofundergraduate and postgraduate research students. University teaching experienceis an added advantage.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a Masters or PhDdegreeinGeographic Information Science and Remote Sensing, Geography, Geoinformaticsor any relevant spatial science qualification with a strong spatial analysiscomponent. An undergraduate degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, GIS,Computer Science or equivalent, is a must.
