job Description

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by GreenFuel. The role ensures cost-effective procurement practices, compliance with company policies, and timely delivery of materials to support operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company requirements.
• Negotiate terms, and pricing with vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory.
• Work closely with finance and operations teams to forecast procurement needs.
• Support audits and reporting requirements related to procurement activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIPS or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
