EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: PROCUREMENT OFFICER
Croco Holdings is inviting applications from highly motivated, experienced, and results-oriented individuals to join its team as a Procurement Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for construction and mining operations, ensuring the timely sourcing and supply of materials, equipment, consumables, and services while maintaining cost efficiency and the highest quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
-Sourcing and procuring construction materials, mining equipment, spare parts, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), fuel, and operational consumables.
-Obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations and preparing comparative analyses to support procurement decisions.
-Negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
-Issuing purchase orders and monitoring deliveries to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods and services.
-Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and service providers.
-Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with stores and site teams to prevent stock shortages and operational disruptions.
-Supporting construction and mining operations by responding promptly to urgent procurement requirements.
-Maintaining accurate procurement records and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
-Preparing procurement reports, supplier performance reports, and other procurement-related documentation as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
-A Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
-A professional qualification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) will be an added advantage.
-A minimum of five (5) years' procurement experience, preferably within the construction and mining industry.
-Demonstrated experience in sourcing mining equipment, construction materials, heavy-duty spare parts, and operational consumables.
-Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier management, and inventory management systems.
-Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
-Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement/inventory management systems will be an added advantage.
