Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position that has risen at the Women’s University in Africa.
Procuring goods, services and working efficiently to obtain the best value for money;
Developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials, goods and services;
Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance to ensure quality and timeous delivery;
Managing procurement processes from requisitions to purchase orders until delivery;
Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and maintaining relationships;
Coordinating procurement activities within the department;
Sourcing quotations from service providers and placing of orders;
Collaborating with other departments to forecast procurement needs and in managing inventory levels;
Preparing and maintaining accurate records, reports and documentation relating to procurement activities;
Risk identification and mitigation in the procurement process; and
Performing any other tasks as assigned from time to time by the Procurement Manager.
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Purchasing and Supply Management;
A professional qualification in Purchasing and Supply Management is an added advantage;
Membership of a Professional Board is an added advantage;
Knowledge of relevant Laws, Regulations and best practices in Procurement;
Proficiency in Procurement software and Microsoft office suite;
At least three (3) years of supply chain working experience in a reputable organization;
