Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordination and preparation of district and local layout plans forresidential, commercial, agricultural, institutional, industrial and other use Coordination, preparation and updating of Master and Local Plans in terms of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act [Chapter29:12] Development Control Facilitation of processing subdivisions of land, development permits, change of use and special consent applications. Coordinate land surveys with the Surveyor General's office. Ensure compliance to the Provisions of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act [Chapter29:12] and Rural District Councils Act [Chapter 29:13] and other relevant legislation in planningmatters. Coordinate, planning and development efforts by al development agencies and ensure popular participation by local communities. Provide technical input to development of agricultural, environmental and natural resources management policies, guidelines and procedures for council. Inspecting, monitoring and regulating commercial resource-based activities. Any other duties as assigned bythe Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications and Experience
At least a Bachelor's degree in Rural and Urban Planning or equivalent from a recognised institution. A minimum of 2 years working experience in a spatial planning position. Local Government experience an added advantage. Clean class 4 driver's licence an added advantage. Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, 3D Draughting software. Mature and at least 30 years of age.
