PART-TIME/ LOCUM NURSE (1)

Duties and Responsibilities

·Consultation and diagnosing patients - students and staff
·Provision of nursing care to students and staff
·Health Education and counseling of affected clients and their significant others
·Drug dispensing and administration of intravenous infusions and injections
·Referral of complicated cases and follow-ups of clients by phone or ambulance
·Suturing and dressing wounds
-Management of clients who fall ill at night and during weekends as well as assisting with housekeeping issues when the warden is away
·Monitoring patients with chronic conditions
·Offering first aid services during university events
· Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

·A minimum of 5 “O” levels including English Language
·Diploma in General Nursing
·Registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
·A valid practicing certificate
·One-year of post-qualification experience
·Midwifery added advantage
·VCT added advantage
