Position Overview GCIGL is inviting applications from highly accomplished leaders for the position of Non-Executive Director – Business Development, Programs & Partnerships. This strategic governance role is ideal for a seasoned executive who has served in senior leadership positions such as Managers, Deputy Director, Director, Managing Director, CEO, or equivalent, and is passionate about driving impactful programs and building strategic alliances in governance and leadership development.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a member of the Board, the Non-Executive Director will: •Provide strategic oversight and policy guidance on GCIGL’s global business development initiatives. •Advise on the growth and expansion of innovative programs and professional certifications. •Champion partnerships with governments, corporations, donor agencies, professional bodies, and academia. •Act as a global ambassador for GCIGL in international forums and high-level stakeholder platforms. •Offer independent judgment, constructive challenge, and thought leadership to the executive team and fellow board members. •Contribute to the Institute’s sustainability, visibility, and reputation.
Qualifications and Experience
•Has held senior executive positions such as Managers, Deputy Director, Director, Managing Director, CEO, or Board Member in reputable organizations. •Recognized thought leader in business development, corporate governance, innovation, leadership, or public policy. •Demonstrated success in forging impactful partnerships and scaling programs across regions or sectors. •Deep understanding of governance structures, institutional development, and stakeholder engagement at regional or global level. •Excellent communication, advisory, and networking skills. •High ethical standards, independence, and commitment to the vision and mission of GCIGL.
