Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
Duties and responsibilities
Establishes and maintains network performance.
Builds net configurations and connections.
Troubleshoots network problems.
IP address auditing.
Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.
Defines, documents, and enforces system standards.
Vendor capability validation, test implementation and SOP documentation
Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security.
Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Reporting network status to key stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.
Certifications in Cisco (CCNA, CCNP).
At least 3 years of working experience as Network Technician or similar arrangement
