job Description

Galaway Management Services is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join their team. The incumbent will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes and systems within the State-Owned Enterprise. The focus is on aligning these efforts with the overall organizational strategic intent using the Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM) system.

Job Summary:
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for strategic plan management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the strategic plan, and facilitating and coordinating projects' output/outcome/impact implementation monitoring and evaluation. Other key areas of responsibility include planning, coordination, reporting, data analysis, performance management, compliance reporting, capacity building, and project management.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Strategic Plan Management
-Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Strategic Plan
-Facilitation and coordination in conducting projects output/outcome/impact implementation monitoring and evaluation.
-Planning, Coordination, Reporting, and Data Analysis
-Performance Management and Compliance Reporting
-Capacity Building
-Project Management

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge and Skills:
-The successful candidate should possess strategic planning and structural thinking abilities, along with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
-The ability to analyze, monitor, and evaluate individual and organizational performance is essential.
-Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing is required.
-The candidate should also have the ability to enforce compliance with the requirements of monitoring and evaluation within the IRBM system. Effective team working and networking skills are crucial.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
-Degree in Business Studies, Economics, or Social Sciences.
-At least 5 years in program design and development, program monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building using the IRBM system.
