job Description

Domboshava MedClinic, a peri-urban medical facility near Harare, is seeking a mature Medical Practitioner-In-Charge with an OPC. This is not a full-time position and would suit a candidate with long-term plans with the organisation, or even a semi-retired doctor. The role involves clinical, supervisory, and telemedicine responsibilities in support of a dedicated nursing and midwifery team. The facility operates in a predominantly female professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to patients on-site at least one day per week (possibly on Saturdays).
• Availability to supervise/attend NVD deliveries specifically requested by patients on GP led maternity packages.
• Chair or attend staff meetings (minimum once per quarter; preferably monthly).
• Provide telemedicine support to nurses and midwives.

Qualifications and Experience

• MBChB, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree.
• Valid registration with the relevant medical council.
• Ideally suited for a mature or semi-retired doctor with strong motivation, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Ability to thrive in a predominantly female professional environment.
