Lancet Laboratories Zimbabwe is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join our team as Medical Laboratory Technicians. We have vacancies for one position in Kadoma and another in Zvishavane.
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing procedures on instrumentation, analyzing results in one or more sections of the laboratory. You will interact with pathologists on technical matters to provide relevant data for the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases. Your duties will also include recording, verifying, and amending test results to ensure the integrity of the test result database on the laboratory information system.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure efficient operation and accurate results. -Draw blood and collect non-blood specimens from patients/clients using the correct and sterile equipment to yield the best results. -Adhere to professional conduct requirements in line with organizational policy and relevant professional body ethical standards. -Handle work-related pressure effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
-Relevant qualification in the field. -Registration with the MEDICAL LABORATORY and CLINICAL SCIENTISTS COUNCIL and possession of a valid practicing certificate. -Ability to handle work-related pressure. -At least two years of working experience.
