About the Project
The Tokwe Mukosi Hydropower Plant is a critical national infrastructure project aimed at strengthening Zimbabwe’s renewable energy capacity and ensuring long-term electricity supply stability. We are expanding our engineering team to support ongoing operations, maintenance, and optimisation of plant systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Overseeing installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within the hydropower plant.
- Conducting routine inspections on turbines, generators, pumps, valves, and auxiliary systems.
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and coordinating corrective actions to ensure plant uptime.
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Preparing technical reports, drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Supervising mechanical teams and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Supporting system upgrades, retrofits, and performance optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborating with electrical, civil, and control engineers in multidisciplinary project tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in hydropower, energy generation, or heavy industrial mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of turbines, rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, and power plant operations.
- Experience with mechanical diagnostics, maintenance planning, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, safety-critical environment.
- Strong leadership and technical reporting skills.
