Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities -Design, install, inspect and maintain mechanical systems and mining equipment. -Maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, compressors and other processing equipment. -Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes. -Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective measures. -Support equipment installation, commissioning and plant upgrades. -Monitor equipment performance and improve reliability and efficiency. -Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules and equipment specifications. -Work with mining, processing, electrical and production teams. -Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and junior engineering personnel.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements -Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. -Minimum 3 years’ relevant engineering experience, preferably in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry. -Experience with mining and mineral-processing equipment is an advantage. -Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment. -Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications. -Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. -Ability to work in remote mining environments.
