job Description

Nash Paints Inc is seeking a skilled Mechanic responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the overall maintenance of vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Attend to all breakdowns promptly.
-Review and implement workshop operating procedures.
-Order vehicle spares and complete job cards.
-Test parts and systems of vehicles to ensure proper functionality.
-Follow checklists to verify that all components are in working order.
-Perform basic care and maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
-Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings.
-Utilize testing equipment to ensure the effectiveness of repairs and maintenance.
-Explain automotive problems and repairs to vehicle users.
-Ensure all serviced vehicles are cleaned.
-Test and lubricate the vehicles’ engine and other major components.
-Undertake any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
-Be accountable for mechanical risk management in alignment with organizational and departmental goals.

Qualifications and Experience

-Diploma or certificate in Motor Mechanics.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
-Dependability, persistence, and effective time management.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with complexity.
-Analytical skills for processing and interpreting information.
