Core purpose of the role

To grow the business by identifying brand new business opportunities and driving these all the way until the new client is onboarded.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key deliverables and outputs

Strategic/Financial

Continuously grow and create an accurate awareness of the Avis brand with new customers, using each customer interface as an opportunity for this
Use possible marketing events and business / industry forums (e.g. BNI, Chamber of Commerce) for networking opportunities to further grow the potential customer base and represent the Avis brand, ensuring we get maximum return from these events
Quantify and maintain an active and substantial prospect list, ensuring this is in line with the Avis business and solution strategy, clearly indicating priority focus areas for the short-term to longer term.
Operational

Achieve the set new business targets for the financial year
Drive and facilitate the entire new customer process from prospecting to conversion, completing all needed documentation and steps, being the key contact for internal stakeholders and new customers
Take full ownership of the handing-over process of new customers, facilitating the needed planning, structuring and communications with these relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring customer expectations and service levels are met and maintained going forward by the Key Account Executive.
Stakeholders (internal & external customers, suppliers, shareholders, communities)

Actively target and engage new customers to identify and create a need on which we can build potential solutions
Continuously communicate and build strong internal relationships with specific stakeholders (Operations, Finance & Risk, Marketing), to create buy-in and get the teams aligned to the conversion and subsequent delivery of the solution, maintaining the service levels
Embed the customer's loyalty and create a positive customer experience by joining the Key Account Executives in a courtesy call / meeting with converted customers, hand over after 12 months/start of new financial year.

Qualifications and Experience

Academic Qualifications Essential:

Grade 12
Valid Driver’s Licence.
Work Experience Essential:

1-3 Years New Business Development Experience.
Broad exposure in dealing with different stakeholders during the entire sales cycles (prospecting, propositioning, negotiation, closing deals)
Advantageous:

Broad experience in financial analysis and understanding of company financial standing.
Broad exposure to specific departments (Operations, Finance & Risk, Marketing)
Broad financial lease calculations experience.
Broad Fleet leasing experience.
