Main Purpose:
The Maintenance Assessor is responsible for assessing and confirming that maintenance works are executed correctly and meet the expected quality standards. This role involves managing and supervising critical maintenance tasks, including work at height, confined space operations, and hot works. The Maintenance Assessor will issue and sign off work permits, assess maintenance needs within a designated geographical zone, and manage contractors. Additionally, the Maintenance Assessor will ensure that Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards are adhered to in accordance with Puma Group standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Assurance:
-Assess and confirm that maintenance works are completed to the required quality standards.
-Conduct inspections and audits of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

Management of Critical Maintenance Tasks:
-Supervise and manage critical maintenance tasks, including but not limited to work at height, confined space entry, and hot works.
-Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during these operations.

Permit Issuance and Management:
-Issue and sign off work permits for maintenance activities, ensuring all necessary safety measures are in place.
-Maintain accurate records of all permits issued and ensure compliance with permit conditions.

Assessment of Maintenance Needs:
-Evaluate and assess maintenance needs within a specific geographical zone.
-Collaborate with the Maintenance Controller to prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and impact.

Contractor Management:
-Manage and oversee contractors performing maintenance work, ensuring they adhere to quality and safety standards.
-Conduct performance evaluations of contractors and provide feedback for improvement.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
-Ensure that HSE standards are observed and respected in all maintenance activities, in line with Puma Group standards.
-Conduct safety training and briefings for maintenance personnel and contractors.

Collaboration and Communication:
-Work closely with the Maintenance Controller and designated engineers to coordinate maintenance activities and share insights on performance and quality.
-Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding maintenance status, issues, and improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

-Diploma in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
-Proven experience in maintenance assessment, quality control, and contractor management.
-Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, particularly in maintenance environments.
-Familiarity with maintenance practices related to work at height, confined spaces, and hot works.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Strong organizational and time management abilities.
-Relevant certifications in safety and maintenance management are a plus.

Competencies:
The role will require working in petroleum environments, including service stations and B2B sites.
Occasional travel may be required to assess maintenance needs in different geographical zones
Key Relationships and Department Overview:
This position requires close collaboration with the Maintenance Controller and designated engineers.
