Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced people for the following post:
Loss Control Manager – Risk and Loss Control
Job Purpose: To assist the Director – Risk and Loss Control in planning, coordinating, and supervising campus loss control operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Design, implement, and review security policies, procedures, and emergency management programs to mitigate risks.
-Conduct security risk assessments, identify threats/vulnerabilities, and develop proactive measures.
-Recruit, train, supervise, and manage loss control personnel, including guards, officers, and shift supervisors.
-Oversee day-to-day loss control operations, staffing levels, post coverage, CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and patrols,
-Investigate security incidents, theft, vandalism, breaches; liaise with police and external agencies; ensure emergency response for medical, fire, or safety events.
-Ensure compliance with university and State security regulations. Manage the Los Control unit budget, contracts, and equipment purchasing.
-Communicate security policies to staff, students, and visitors; build relationships with law enforcement and other agencies
-Deliver loss control/security and safety awareness programs for staff and students; plan emergency drills.
-Prepare incident reports, situational analysis, and brief senior management
-Staying up to date with relevant industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements to ensure loss prevention efforts are aligned with legal and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

The incumbent should possess the following qualifications:
A degree in Police and Security Studies or Risk Management and Insurance.
A certificate of service for a commissioned rank.
Must have worked in a university setup for at least 5 years at a supervisory level.
Be a holder of a clean class 4 driver’s license.

-Having moral courage
-Ability to work under pressure without supervision.
