We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our operations. This role is crucial in maintaining optimal inventory levels, timely deliveries, and strong relationships with our logistics partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee shipment lifecycle: Meticulously track and manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely customs clearance and efficient delivery to our warehouse or clients.
Optimize inventory: Implement and maintain robust stock and inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies, reduce waste, and ensure product availability. Expedite order fulfillment: Ensure orders are processed accurately and dispatched promptly, meeting our delivery targets.
Build strong partnerships: Act as the primary liaison with suppliers, freight forwarders, transporters, and internal teams to coordinate seamless distribution of stock and resolve any logistical challenges.
Report and analyze: Generate comprehensive logistics reports, incident logs, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment.
Logistics expertise: Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes, particularly sea shipments, and a proven track record with customs clearance procedures and ZIMRA documentation.
System proficiency: Proficient in inventory management software
Attention to detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous approach to record-keeping and inventory accuracy.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve logistical issues and unexpected challenges.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with various stakeholders.
