Prodairy, a renowned manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods, is in search of a highly organized and responsible individual to join our team as a Logistics Supervisor-Milk Supply. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our milk tanker fleet, requiring strong leadership skills, impeccable organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics and transportation processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day activities of milk tanker drivers and support staff.
-Schedule and assign routes to maximize efficiency and ensure timely deliveries.
-Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of milk tankers to comply with hygiene and safety regulations.
-Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle performance to optimize fleet efficiency.
-Implement measures to minimize downtime and promptly address any mechanical issues.
-Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to transportation and milk handling.
-Maintain accurate records of driver logs, vehicle inspections, and maintenance activities.
-Conduct regular safety training sessions for drivers to promote safe driving practices and adherence to safety protocols.
-Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or violations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
-Generate regular reports on fleet performance, efficiency, and cost analysis.
-Collaborate with farmers, processing facilities, and suppliers to ensure smooth and timely operations.

Qualifications and Experience

-Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
-Clean Class 4 Driver’s License; Clean Class 2 Drivers License will be an added advantage.
-Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
-Proven experience in fleet management or logistics supervision, preferably in the transportation of perishable goods.
-Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
-Proficient in using logistics software, tracking systems, and other relevant tools.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
