Zimbabwe Red Cross Society is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Logistics Assistant. This role involves providing support to the Logistics Officer in procurement, fleet management, warehousing, and distribution of Non-Food Items (NFIs) in Manicaland Province.
-Coordinate and facilitate the procurement requirements of ZRCS based on procurement policy guidelines.
-Ensure compliance with standing policies (Procurement, Fleet, and Warehousing).
-Create purchase orders, applying relevant procurement procedures, and ensuring all supporting documentation is attached.
-Verify that received invoices reconcile with purchase orders, and match receipts to purchase orders.
-Ensure three-way matching of purchase order, invoice, and Goods Receipt Note (GRN).
-Manage the warehouse adequately, maintain well-organized stocks, and ensure distribution aligns with planned activities.
-Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply, Logistics, or equivalent.
-At least 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year in the NGO sector.
-2 years of experience working as a Logistics Officer or in a similar role.
-Membership in a professional body (Institute of Purchasing and Supply) is an added advantage.
