Responsible for the overall management of the Line Flight team to ensure customer satisfaction by effectively maintaining contact with shippers and markets for their bookings, liaising with Airlines on equipment, bookings and liaising with stakeholders to ensure correct loading and offloading.
-Manages and allocates the tasks within Line Flight team, supervises, checks, and monitors progress of tasks executed by the team, guides, motivates staff and assists where needed.
-Drive change management in Line Flight.
-Manage the team to ensure individual shipments match confirmed capacity and equipment in a timely, efficient, and well-coordinated manner.
-Effectively and efficiently utilize the manpower consistent with staff job grade and training.
-Identify talents and ensure constant development of skilled manpower to satisfy continuous demand of efficiency and professionalism as well as for succession planning.
-Working on ensuring Airflo can meet standards by developing our offering,
-Working with all aspects of the business to improve the service provided to clients.
-Supervises and monitors staff attendance, guides, and trains staff.
Operational Delivery
-Negotiates cargo rates with line flight carriers to ensure competitiveness.
-Follows up and ensures that all bookings received either electronically, by phone and/or registers are booked accurately into the system.
-Communicates with the airline to book the space and equipment.
-Co-ordinates, shipment bookings and flight reservations with Booking, Documentation and Operations teams and assists where needed.
-Provides feedback for each booking with the booking reference number and planned flight details.
-Plans with the team on the booked shipments on the air space in accordance with shipper and market requirements.
-Manages communication of any shipment changes to the airline.
-Coordinates and manages communication of any flight changes to the shipper.
-Prepares and updates a shipment record in the computer system when shipment is delivered without a booking.
-Checks with operations teams the shipment delivery status, Plant Health Inspection and QC status.
-Daily KPIs and shipment info is filed and reports any deviations from procedures to the MD.
-Visits existing customers to firm up business.
-Visits new customers to pitch for new business.
-Remains up to date with market and industry developments and coordinates capture of new business with the Commercial department of Airflo BV.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
-Bachelor’s degree in business administration/economics/logistics.
-Minimum 5 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict, and performance management.
-Degree in Project Management, Planning, or any other related commercial field.
-Diploma in any relevant Commercial Course/Aviation Course (preferably export documentation and IATA Forwarding) is a MUST have.
