LECTURESHIP/SENIOR LECTURESHIP/ASSOCIATE PROFESSORSHIP (2 POSTS)

Duties and Responsibilities

POST A
Applicants should hold a good honours degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Accounting and
Finance from a recognised institution. Candidates with tertiary or university teaching experience will
have an added advantage. The candidate should have a demonstrable commitment to collaborative
teaching, research and innovative curriculum design and development. The successful candidate will
be expected to teach at least two modules on the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in
Accounting and one module in MSc in Accounting and Finance. The incumbent should possess
excellent communication skills, problem-solving, analytical skills and should be willing to study
towards a PhD.
Successful candidates should be able to research and teach at least two courses in: Accounting,
Financial Reporting, Management and Cost Accounting and Taxation at undergraduate and
Investment Analysis and Fund Management at postgraduate level. In addition, the successful
candidates will be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and theses.
