Midlands State University is seeking applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the positions of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Graphic Design and Videography. Duties and Responsibilities
(a) Teaching: The incumbent is expected to deliver lectures and conduct teaching activities in accordance with departmental and faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service: Active participation in departmental, faculty, and university activities, including meetings, training workshops, conferences, and seminars.
(c) Research: Engage in active research within the area of specialization, contributing to the academic growth of both students and the university.
(d) Innovations: Lead initiatives resulting in tangible products and services.
(e) Industrialization: Contribute to the commercialization of products through innovation and industry engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
-A good first Honors degree in Creative Arts and Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or equivalent with at least a 2.1 pass. -Master’s Degree in Creative Arts and Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or equivalent. -PhD or evidence of registration is an added advantage. -Portfolio in Animation and/or 3D Modeling. -At least two years of experience in the relevant field is an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise student research work. Teach a minimum of three (3) modules at the undergraduate level, including Typography, Image creation, Photography, Cinematography and Videography, Packaging and Display Design, Fundamentals of Game Design, Motion Graphics, Web Design and Development, and Animation.
