The duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:
(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service and Community engagement– the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.
(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.
(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services
(e)Industrialisation –through commercialisation of products

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (3 Posts Full-time)
Security Risk Management
Suitable candidates must be able to teach any three of the following modules:
-Introduction to Security Management
-Physical Security
-Arms Handling and Control
-Introduction to Private |Security
-Crime Prevention, Reduction and Control
-Cash in Transit Management
-Critical Incidence Response
-Criminal Psychology
-Safety and Fire Management
-Forensic Investigation.
-Security Audit Systems

-First degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Policing, Security or any other field related with at least a 2.1 pass
-Masters Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Policing, Security or any other related field.
-PhD in the fields above would be an added advantage.
-Other desirable qualifications include teaching experience at the tertiary level or practical industry experience, or membership in a relevant trade or professional body, would be an added advantage.
