Duties and Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate must be capable of teaching, supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research work, assess students on Work Related Learning and must be able to teach at least three of the following modules at undergraduate level

Medical Nutrition therapy
Nutritional Epidemiology
Nutrition and Agricultural Systems
Nutrition Programming, Implementation and Evaluation
Food Service Management
Sports Nutrition
Food Chemistry
Food Microbiology

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

Must have a first degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Nutrition or related field with at least a 2.1 pass
Must have MSc in Food Science and Nutrition or related field
A PhD in Food Science, Nutrition or related field is an added advantage
Registration with Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (AHPCZ) as a nutritionist is an added advantage
Teaching experience at a tertiary institution is an added advantage
