FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT & NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT Department of Agronomy and Horticulture Post A. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (1 Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate must be capable of supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research work, assess students on Work-Related Learning, and teaching the following modules: · Genetics · Molecular Plant Breeding · Plant biotechnology · Bioinformatics
Qualifications and Experience
· MSc in Molecular Genetics/ Plant biotechnology or related field · BSc Biotechnology/Crop Science/Biological science or related field, passed with a 2.1 or better degree class · A PhD or proof of pursuing a PhD in Molecular Genetics / Plant biotechnology is an added advantage · At least one research article (in relevant field), published in peer reviewed journal · At least one year teaching experience at tertiary level is an added advantage
