job Description

The ideal candidate should have at least a Masters degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or other equivalent and an undergraduate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Physics, Automation or other equivalent. An earned PhD is a distinct advantage. The successful candidate would be required to teach any three (3) of the following undergraduate courses:- Electrical and Electronic Principles, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics and Logic Design, Electrical Machines and Drives, Signal Processing and Communication, Real Time Systems and Fundamentals of Mechatronic Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities

Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor and Professor are grouped in three categories which are:
-Teaching-the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or School guidelines and standards.
-Community and University Services-the incumbent should participate in all Department, School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conference and seminars, among others.
-Research-the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University through publications.
-Innovation- the incumbent is expected to come up with innovative ideas through research.
-Industrialisation- the incumbent should be able to come up with innovations that can be commercialised and enhance industrialisation.
