Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/ Professor: Department of Crop Science and Post-Harvest Technology at Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT)
The ideal candidate should have at least a Masters in Crop Protection / Plant Pathology or other equivalent and an undergraduate degree in Crop Science or other equivalent. A PhD in Plant Pathology/Crop Protection or equivalent is a distinct advantage. The successful candidate would be required to teach the following undergraduate level modules: – Biology and Management of Plant Pathogens, and Crop Protection modules.
Duties and Responsibilities
Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor and Professor are grouped in three categories which are: -Teaching-the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or School guidelines and standards. -Community and University Services-the incumbent should participate in all Department, School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conference and seminars, among others. -Research-the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University through publications. -Innovation- the incumbent is expected to come up with innovative ideas through research. -Industrialisation- the incumbent should be able to come up with innovations that can be commercialised and enhance industrialisation.
