The University seeks to engage a Lecturer in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management and Agriculture, Department of Horticulture and Crop Production.
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/ Full Professor: Plant Breeder, you will be
-Participate in University income-generating projects
-Participate in the invigilation of examinations
-Supervise post-graduate and undergraduate student research projects
-Participate in outreach activities in the crop production sector
-Attract and manage research grants
-Participate in University services
-Innovate and facilitate service delivery
-The incumbent must be able to: teach Genetics, Plant Breeding, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Statistical Methods and Experimental Design and any other modules which may be assigned by the Department
-Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language
-A Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Crop Science or related fields
-Applicants must be holders of at least a Master of Science Degree in Plant Breeding from a recognised University
-A PhD in Plant Breeding is an added advantage
-At least one peer reviewed publication
-At least one year teaching experience at tertiary level
