The University seeks to engage a Lecturer in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management and Agriculture, Department of Horticulture and Crop Production.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/ Full Professor: Crop Protection, you will be -Participate in University income-generating projects -Participate in the invigilation of examinations -Supervise post-graduate and undergraduate student research projects -Participate in outreach activities in the crop production sector -Attract and manage research grants -Participate in university services -Innovate and facilitate service delivery -The applicant should be able to teach the following modules: Biology and Management of Plant Pathogens, Biology and Management of Plant Pests, Weed Biology and Management and any other modules which may be assigned by the Department
Qualifications and Experience
Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language A Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Crop Science or related fields Applicants must be holders of at least a Master of Science in Crop Protection Degree or equivalent A PhD in Crop Protection will be an added advantage At least one peer reviewed publication At least one-year teaching experience at tertiary level
