The successful candidate should be able to teach the following courses in the Department of Peace and Governance. §Information Organization and Metadata §Information Technology and Digital Systems §Data Science and Research Management §Records, Archives and Preservation §Information Literacy and User Services §Knowledge and Strategic Management §Collection Management and Information Resources §Information Ethics, Law and Society §And any other related courses offered by the Department of Peace and Governance.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least a Master's degree in Library and Information Science/Information Systems/Information and Knowledge Management, and a relevant first degree. A PhD in the same field or evidence of working towards one is an added advantage. The applicant must have a minimum of two years of university teaching experience at a tertiary institution.
Skills The candidate should be able to contribute to the mandate of the university through teaching, research, university/community service, innovation, and industrialisation. In addition, the candidate should be able to supervise students’ projects and dissertations.
