The University seeks to engage a Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment, Department of Geomatics and Surveying.
As a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor, you will be
-Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
-Supervise undergraduate student research projects where relevant
-Engage in active research and innovation in their area of specialisation
-Participate in community outreach programs and university income-generating activities
-Participate in examination invigilation and assessment processes
-Contribute to departmental curriculum development, research, innovation, and industrialization efforts
-Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
-Supervise undergraduate student research projects where relevant
-Engage in active research and innovation in their area of specialisation
-Participate in community outreach programs and university income-generating activities
-Participate in examination invigilation and assessment processes
-Contribute to departmental curriculum development, research, innovation, and industrialization efforts
-Participation in continuing professional development and mentorship of students
-Willingness to collaborate across disciplines within the Faculty
-Commitment to advancing the University’s vision through excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, research, and community engagement
-Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language
-BSc hons Degree or related in Surveying or Geomatics and Surveying
-A Master’s Degree in Surveying or Geomatics and Surveying
-Teaching experience at tertiary level will be an added advantage The candidate should be able to teach any three of the following modules: Engineering Survey, Hydrographic Surveying, Surveying CAD, Mine Survey, Mine Survey, Cadastral Survey, Survey Computations, Environmental Planning/Design
