JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the International Relations Manager as well as working in a team environment, the International Relations Officer is responsible for a broad range of activities. The International Relations Officer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the University’s visibility and engagement with stakeholders. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate complex international issues and initiatives to diverse audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing and maintaining a network of contacts (internal and external of institutional partners, government agencies, embassies and consulates that facilitate the execution of university internationalization strategy.
Building relationships with Faculties, Academic Support Units, Research Institutes and Centers, Senior Leadership and other offices to secure their support for initiatives to advance.
Monitoring and reporting on international students’ recruitment trends.
Assisting the International Relations Manager in organising international student experience and welfare activities, such as tourism activities, cultural and linguistic immersion activities, trips, welcome and farewell ceremonies, independence celebrations, carnivals, cultural exhibitions.
Collecting and maintaining up-to-date information on international activities of Faculties, Academic Support Units, Research Institutes and Centers and providing timely reports.
Monitoring international relations trends and liaising with Faculties, Research Institutes and Centers to advise on key opportunities.
Perform any other relevant duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, International Business, Political Science, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related field.
A Master’s Degree in International Relations, International Business, Political Science, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related field.
At least 1 year of working experience in a related or similar function.
Experience in networking and mobilizing international partnerships.
Computer literate MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
