We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join our team as an Internal Auditor – Risk and Assurance at CIMAS. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in performing audit engagements through comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal control procedures, and contributing to the overall risk management framework. Duties and Responsibilities

-Conduct audit engagements by conducting thorough risk assessments.
-Review compliance with established financial regulations and internal control procedures through the examination of records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
-Document tests and findings in workpapers to maintain a comprehensive audit trail.
-Communicate audit findings by preparing draft reports and engaging with the Audit and Risk Manager and Head of Risk and Assurance.
-Assess whether risk registers are updated in accordance with the risk management framework.
-Utilize data analytics techniques and prepare reports to enhance audit effectiveness.
-Make decisions on audit procedures and provide recommendations for control deficiencies based on risk assessments.
-Evaluate the adequacy of departmental risk registers and the appropriateness of corresponding risk impact, likelihood, and assumptions.

Qualifications and Experience

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Internal Auditor.
-Professional affiliations preferred, such as ICAZ/ACCA.
-Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate reports.
-Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, as well as laws, rules, and regulations.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
