The school is inviting applications from suitably qualified, passionate, and forward-thinking individuals to fill the position of ICT Teacher. The successful candidate will teach learners aged 5–12 years and play a key role in shaping digital literacy and innovation within the school.
The ICT Teacher will be expected to:
-Demonstrate strong working knowledge of both Cambridge and ZIMSEC curricula.
-Deliver engaging and high-quality ICT and Computing lessons that make coding, digital literacy, and IT concepts accessible and exciting for primary school learners.
-Lead and promote online safety education, equipping pupils with responsible digital citizenship skills.
-Support fellow teachers in integrating technology into teaching across subjects such as STEM, Literacy, and Creative Arts.
-Serve as the school’s ICT resource person, offering guidance, mentorship, and training to staff on emerging educational technologies and platforms.
-Manage and maintain the school’s digital resources and systems, ensuring effective and innovative use of technology in teaching and learning.
-Introduce and coordinate co-curricular activities such as Robotics, Coding, and Media Production clubs.
-Stay updated with emerging trends in educational technology and implement them where relevant.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
A Bachelor of Education (BEd) Honours Degree in ICT (Primary Education) or
-A Degree in Information Technology with a Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Education from a recognized institution.
-A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience at primary school level.
-Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
-Proven advanced computer literacy skills.
-A valid Police Clearance Certificate (required before appointment).
