Trinity Christian Junior School is a independent primary school situated in Ruwa, Zimbabwe. We are seeking for a dynamic and passionate ICT Teacher to join our school. The position is available from the commencement of term 3 2024. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters technological literacy and innovation. As an ICT Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in equipping students with the essential skills needed to thrive in the digital age.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Design, interpret and implement a comprehensive ICT curriculum that aligns with MOPSE and TCJS standards and promotes critical thinking and problem-solving. -Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. Provide hands-on experiences and practical applications of ICT concepts to enhance understanding. -Develop fair and effective assessment methods to evaluate students' understanding and progress as well as provide constructive feedback to students, fostering a growth mindset and continuous improvement. -Oversee the use and maintenance of ICT resources, in the school including computers, software, and peripherals. -Stay updated on advancements in technology to recommend and implement improvements to the ICT infrastructure. -Pursue continuous professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and pedagogical best practices. -Provide guidance and ICT support to students and other members of staff.
Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Education with specialization in ICT -Proven experience as an ICT Teacher -Strong knowledge and expertise in hardware maintenance, ICT concepts, programming languages, and software applications. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. -Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms. -Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends. -Strong organizational and time-management skills.
