The Union Zimbabwe Trust is seeking a highly skilled Head Driver, to join our dynamic team to deliver on a new USAID 5-year funded Programme.
Duties and Responsibilities
Driving responsibilities as directed by the line Supervisor and monitoring vehicle use at the Regional Offices. Taking charge and supervising drivers employed by UZT, ensuring compliance with rules, safety regulations, and organizational policies. Responsible for ensuring timely and regular maintenance and servicing of organizational vehicles. Preparing and overseeing the drivers' work schedule, ensuring daily and weekly checks of vehicles and the correct filling in of vehicle logbooks. Performing regular drivers’ assessments and ensuring that safety procedures are followed religiously.
Qualifications and Experience
Clean Class Two (2) driver’s license and a Defensive driving certificate 5 Ordinary level passes with 5 Years of proven experience in driving supported program activities. Ability to prepare monthly reports on vehicle usage, fuel consumption, repairs and maintenance records. Ability to plan for the transport needs of the organization, apportioning responsibilities to other drivers.
