Group Finance Manager

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee, review and adhere to the budgets for each business department
• Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
• Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future
• Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
• Monitor cash flows, accounts, and other financial transactions
• Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare financial reports on a monthly and yearly basis
• Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk
• Contract auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up to date
• Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including bank institutions and accountants
• Supervise Subsidiary Accountants and other employees in the facilitation of day to day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing
• Ensure that all company’s financial practices are in statutory regulation and legislation
• Update and implement financial policies and procedures
• Maintain a policy manual for the finance department
• Work with the human resources employees to secure candidates who will be an asset to the finance department
• Establish and implement a training program for new finance employees
• Form a close working relationship with the Group Managing Director, other Senior executives and non-Executives

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in accounting, business finance or a related field
• Masters in Finance, MBA or related is an added advantage
• 5+ years of experience in finance/ accounting administration and management
• Excellent mathematical skills, leadership skills, and management experience
• Integrity, honesty, understanding of data privacy standards
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Thorough understanding of business principles and practices
• Superior attention to detail, organisational and planning skills, problem solving and research skills, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Computer skills and multitasking skills
