Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor ICT Security
Assist in monitoring the university's ICT infrastructure for security threats, suspicious activities, and potential vulnerabilities using security monitoring tools.

Support Security Operations
Participate in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, firewalls, antivirus solutions, and access management systems.

Conduct Security Assessments
Assist in performing vulnerability assessments, security audits, and risk assessments, and support the implementation of recommended corrective measures.

Respond to Security Incidents
Support the investigation, documentation, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents, including malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access, under the guidance of senior security personnel.

Promote Cybersecurity Awareness
Assist in developing and delivering cybersecurity awareness programmes, user training, and best practice guidelines to promote safe and secure use of the university's ICT resources.

Qualifications and Experience

-Bachelor ’ s Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or related field.
-Graduated within 2 years
-Minimum degree class: 2.1
-Understanding of information security principles and networking concepts.

Skills
-Knowledge of network security, operating systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
-Understanding of threat detection and vulnerability management.
-Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
-Analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Strong ethical conduct and attention to detail.
