VACANCY: Graduate Intern – Finance (x1)

Purpose of the Position
The Graduate Intern will provide support to the Grants/AP Office in the preparation of financial reports and actively participate in the production of financial reports. The role ensures that all payment requests are complete, costs are allowable and allocable to relevant grants, and fully compliant with the World Vision Field Finance Manual (FFM) and Donor regulations.
-Verify that invoice amounts are accurately matched with approved purchase orders or contractual values.
-Ensure all invoices are supported by complete and valid documentation, including tax clearance certificates, verified banking details, goods received vouchers, and service completion confirmations.
-Maintain and update the invoice register, ensuring compliance with agreed payment timelines.
-Coordinate procurement requests and support the procurement team to ensure continuous operational support.
-Maintain secure custody and control of sensitive financial instruments, including cash and receipt books, in line with internal control standards.
-Support internal audit processes by collating, organising, and validating financial supporting documents in liaison with the Bookkeeper.
-Liaise with the Bookkeeper to ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
-Administer petty cash transactions in strict compliance with organisational policy.
-Verify that petty cash vouchers are complete, accurate, properly authorised, and approved prior to disbursement, including correct coding, signatures, approvals, purpose, date, and amount.
-Ensure all petty cash transactions do not exceed the approved limit of USD 100 per voucher.
-Assist with day-to-day monitoring of all Agribusiness and Nhedziwa Market activities within the AP.
-A recently graduated individual with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
-A one-year student internship in Accounting/Finance or an environment involving cash handling will be an added advantage.
-Strong working knowledge of basic computer packages, especially Excel.
-Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
-Ability to work effectively in a multicultural setting.
-A strong team player with essential personal, professional, and emotional maturity.
