Position Overview:
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the geotechnical risks associated with our chrome mining operations. Your work will focus on ground stability, slope design, risk assessments, and supporting safe mine planning and operations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mining engineers, environmental specialists, and construction personnel, to ensure that mining activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.

-Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field. A -Master’s degree or additional certifications in geotechnical or mining engineering is highly desirable.
-Minimum 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong focus on mining applications.
-Proven experience in geotechnical site investigations, soil and rock mechanics, and slope stability analysis in the mining sector.
-Experience with geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, PLAXIS, SLOPE/W and engineering design tools.
-Familiarity with chrome mining operations, understanding the specific geotechnical challenges associated with extracting chrome ore.
-Knowledge of mining-related ground support systems like rock bolts, shotcrete and design techniques.
