1. Department of Geosciences
1.1 Structural Geologist
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (1 Post)

Qualifications
i. An Honors degree in Geology with at least a 2.1 pass
ii. A Masters Degree qualification in Geology with specialization in Structural Geology.
iii.PhD is an added advantage
iv.Relevant industry experience is an added advantage
v. Research experience is an added advantage

Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate must be able to teach Structural Geology and other modules in Geology/ Geosciences, and must be capable of supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research work and assess students on Work Related Learning.

1.2 Metamorphic Petrologist:
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (1 Post)

Qualifications:
i. An Honors degree in Geology with at least a 2.1 pass
ii. A Masters Degree qualification in Geology with specialization in Metamorphic petrology.
iii. PhD is an added advantage
iv. Relevant industry experience is an added advantage
v. Research experience is an added advantage

Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate must be able to teach;
· Metamorphic petrology
· Field mapping
· Mine geology and must be capable of supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research work and assess students on Work Related Learning.

1.3Geomodelling and Resource Estimation
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (1 Post)

Qualifications
i.An Honors degree in Geology with at least a 2.1 pass
ii.A Masters Degree qualification in Geology with specialization in Geomodelling and Geostatistics.
iii.PhD is an added advantage
iv.Relevant industry experience is an added advantage
v.Research experience is an added advantage

Duties & Responsibilities
The candidate must be able to teach ;
· Geomodelling and resource estimation
· Geology of Zimbabwe and Southern Africa, and must be capable of supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research work and assess students on Work Related Learning.

1.4 Geophysicist

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (3 Posts)
Qualifications:
i.An Honors degree in Geology with at least a 2.1 pass
ii.A minimum of an MSc degree in Geophysics.
iii.A PhD or proof of progress towards a PhD in Geophysics will be an added advantage.
iv.Knowledge of computational and simulation packages.
v.Registration with a recognized professional body will be an added advantage

Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate must be capable of teaching any two of the following areas undergraduate and postgraduate level:
·General geophysics
·Induced polarization and resistivity
·Seismic wave and ray theory
·Seismic exploration methods
·Induced polarization and resistivity
·Potential fields and electrical methods data processing and laboratory.

Ability to interact with industry and academic partners (domestic and international) and interest in creating and maintaining connections with major industrial and academic players within the broader physics community.
