The funeral consultant will serve as the primary liaison between the business and the bereaved family members. The role is also responsible for negotiating with customers, administrative duties, and directing funeral proceedings up to the burial at the highest possible standard.
-Supporting other staff members administratively.
-Preparing funeral services quotations for clients.
-Negotiating with clients.
-Recommending products that are sought after.
-Providing comfort to bereaved families.
-Assisting the bereaved family come up with a funeral program.
-Ensuring funeral proceedings are in line with laid down operational procedures.
-Market information gathering.
-Processing repatriations and expatriations.
-Verifying claims.
-Recording and safekeeping of personal effects.
-Handing over personal effects and clothes to bereaved family representatives.
-Monitoring movements of caskets.
-Estimating distances to be travelled and make fuel requisitions.
-Managing time and control overtime cost.
