Position: Freight Forwarding Manager

Earlstree Investments (Pvt) Ltd is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Freight Forwarding Manager. The successful candidate will oversee freight forwarding operations primarily between China, Zimbabwe, and the African continent, ensuring efficient coordination of international shipments and logistics services.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Managing day-to-day freight forwarding operations for China–Zimbabwe–Africa routes
- Coordinating sea, air, and road shipments between China and African destinations
- Liaising with Chinese suppliers, shipping lines, transporters, and clearing agents
- Supervising import and export documentation for international cargo
- Ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Managing client relationships, particularly for China–Africa trade
- Monitoring shipment schedules and resolving cross-border logistics issues
- Preparing freight quotations and cost analysis for international shipments
- Supervising freight forwarding staff and operations team
- Coordinating container consolidation and cargo tracking

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, International Trade, or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding with international shipping exposure
- Strong knowledge of China–Africa shipping routes and procedures
- Experience with customs documentation and clearing processes
- Knowledge of sea freight (FCL/LCL) and multimodal transport
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in logistics management systems is an added advantage
- Ability to communicate in English; Mandarin will be an added advantage
