Applicants should have an earned PhD in Food Processing Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, Food Microbiology, Food Toxicology or any related area. The Candidate should be in possession of a Master’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or any related programme. The incumbent should possess working experience in the food industry or alternatively should have demonstrable research experience in any food science or food technology field. The successful candidate would be required to teach any four of the following modules at Master’s level:
Advanced Food Chemistry
Product Process and Design;
Advanced Sensory Science;
Applied Dairy Physics and Chemistry;
Applied Cereal Chemistry;
Ingredient Functionality;
Advanced Meat Technology;
The successful candidates will be expected to develop appropriate teaching materials to ensure content and methods of delivery meet learning objectives.
