We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter Machinist to join our busy engineering workshop. The ideal person will set up and operate manual machines, reads blueprints and perform mechanical repairs and assembly.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints
Measure finished metal parts using micrometers and calipers
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workplace
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
Journeyman Class 1 / National Certificate in Machining or Fitting and Turning
At least 3 to 5 years if hands on experience in an engineering workshop
Strong knowledge of metal properties and cutting tools
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
