We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team at PPC Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing scheduled planned and unplanned maintenance activities in accordance with the Asset Care Plan, contributing to the Engineering department's Key Performance Indicators.
-Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to the correct standards.
-Accurately complete job cards, providing detailed information on time, asset classes, sub-classes, and failure causes.
-Participate in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) leading indicators identification, reporting, and pre-task risk assessments.
-Submit Asset Care Change suggestions for Continuous Improvement purposes.
-Collaborate with Planning personnel to ensure accurate capture of work order feedback.
-Generate requests for spares and materials, and interact with stores issuing personnel.
-Conduct metalworking, machining, and fabrication activities.
-Perform preliminary failure diagnostics on equipment failures and take appropriate remedial action.
-Identify opportunities for proactive maintenance.
-Provide feedback to the Foreman on work execution for Continuous Improvement and future planning enhancement.

-Five (5) Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics and English.
-National Certificate in Machine Shop Engineering (Apprenticeship trained/Trade tested).
-5 years of experience in clinker or cement manufacturing or mining environment.
-Demonstrated good safety record as an artisan, with keen observance and responsiveness to hazards and risks.
-Strong communication skills.
-Willingness to learn and strive for high-performance standards.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Readiness to work shifts and standby duties when required.
-Ability to perform stand-by duties.
-Experience in training apprentices and Handymen.
