job Description

A local Private Voluntary Organisation (PO) into Health Research and health related programming is looking for a recent graduate to join the organisation on a 1 year learnership program as a Finance Intern.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working under the supervision of the Head of Finance, the Finance Intern will be responsible for
• developing and maintaining an electronic and hard copy filling system for the Finance Department
• timely capturing of transactions into the accounting system (Sage Evolution)
• ensuring that all Finance documents have adequate supporting documentation.
• monthly reconciliation of all advance accounts

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Accounting.
• At least one ear work related experience.
• Experience with sage evolution is a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) a must.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management.
