Bindura University of Science Education is hiring a Field Technician – Crop Science (1 Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
Working closely with the Chairperson, the successful candidate will be part of a broad Technical team, ensuring effective day-to-day field operations. His/her responsibilities will be but not limited to the following: -Preparing, arranging, and conducting field practicals for students; -Assisting lecturers and students in carrying out research projects and trials; -Participating in departmental income-generating projects in the Teaching, Research and Learning Unit at the Farm; -Organising and accompanying both diploma and undergraduate students on educational tours; -Procuring of tools and equipment for the department; -Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of the departmental equipment and agro-chemicals; -Assisting in the preparation of departmental project budgets; -Servicing and maintaining departmental tools and equipment; -Any other duties assigned by the Chairperson with the Dean’s approval.

Qualifications and Experience
-Applicants should have a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Science; -A Diploma in Agriculture and two (2) years of University working experience would be added advantages.
