The University seeks to engage a Farm Manager in the Department of Agro Innovation and Industrial Park.
As a Farm Manager, you will be
-Plan, supervise and coordinate all livestock and crop production activities on the University farms; Oversee both dryland and irrigated crop production, including field and horticultural crops; Implement production schedules and ensure adherence to good agricultural practices; Prepare and manage farm budgets, input procurement, and marketing of produce; Maintain up-to-date production and financial records; Facilitate student practical training, innovation, and research activities in line with Education 5
0; Engage the surrounding community through demonstration projects and outreach programmes; Promote efficient and sustainable utilization of farm resources and infrastructure
-Applicants must be holders of at least a Diploma in Agriculture or equivalent from a recognised institution
-A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or related field will be an added advantage
-Applicants should have at least three (3) years’ experience in mixed farming operations, including livestock and crop production, preferably in an institutional or commercial farming environment
-Proven ability to manage farm staff, maintain production records, and ensure profitability and sustainability of operations is essential
